Hello, my name is Mariusz Cieśla and my job is to make the web a better place.

About

Hello, my name is Mariusz Cieśla and this is my blog about design, web development and more.

Who am I?

I’m a 24-year old male, currently living in a beautiful city of Kraków, Poland. I got interested in webdesign around 1999 and since then I worked quite a bit with it as a freelancer, member of local creative groups and recently also as a 9-to-5 employed in a local webdevelopment company, Lunar Logic Polska.

Personally, I’m a full time web designer and UI developer, interested in photography, usability, industrial, web and identity design, industrial applications of the web and AI. I love my wife, dogs, cats, books and Apple products.

What I’ve worked on?

Throughout my design career I worked in quite a lot of small, medium and large size business customers, helping them build their company identities, websites and web applications. On the side of my webdesign work, I’m also interested in front-end development (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript) and some back-end development in PHP, Python and Ruby, but I strongly prefer the front-end side.

Customers I worked with include such companies as Second Brain AS, Vattenfall Polska, Arcelor Mittal Polska, Zenbe Inc. and more.

What’s this blog?

This is a totally private blog and I’m not a paid blogger (yet?), so I’ll just try to write about topics that I know something about and I’m interested in. Those topics will mostly include wide variety of design and inspiration, tutorials on working with designs in Photoshop, Pixelmator and GIMP, news and rumors and everything I will stumble upon my presence on the web on both professional and personal side. All the content on this blog is licensed under CreativeCommons BY-SA license unless stated otherwise.
